Tomorrow I will head out to the woodland garden and get a head start on some of the work I plan for next spring. The weather is suppose to be real good and so I thought it would be a great time to get started. I want to work on some of the beds and get them cleaned up. There are some limbs and branches that could use a good trimming as well.
It is a couple of days after thanksgiving and although there are 4 months and 3 weeks till the first day of spring it will still be a long winter ahead. If I get some things done now I will be able to look forward to hiting the ground running in spring. With the major construction projects planned for spring I want to be able to get started as soon as possible. If some of the maintenance tasks are out of the way I will be able to get started all that much sooner.
My real wish would be if I had one is a green house so that throughout the winter months I could be propagating plants that I could use next spring. It is not possible at this time to have a green house but I have always found that if I have a desire for something and set it as a goal some how it works out that I obtain it. So I may just get my wish one of these days.
